About Jessica Jones
Jessica Campbell was a Midtown High School student who happened to be at the same science facility when Peter Parker was bitten by the radioactive spider. Jessica had a crush on Parker and was just about to speak to him when the spider bit Parker.
Shortly after this incident Jessica's family was killed in an automobile accident when their car collided with a military convoy carrying radioactive chemicals. Jessica was he only one to survive.
She was placed in an orphanage and adopted by the Jones family.
Jessica later discovered that her radiation exposure granted her super strength, limited invulnerability, and flight (which she never fully mastered during her superhero career as Jewel).

Jones tried being a superhero for some time, duri this time she had relationships with both Ant-Man, Scott Lang and Luke Cage, who she would later marry.

Finally Jones decided to give up the superhero life and became a private investigator. She has also worked for the Daily Bugle.
